Thank you for your support at the

Multi-Author Book Signing

at Waldenbooks - Lebanon Valley Mall

Saturday, August 14th

10am - 2pm

20% of the proceeds from books purchased at the booksigning or in the store (with a voucher available at the library) will benefit the library!

Thank you for coming out and supporting
the library and local & regional authors!

Please note: The bookdrop located in the library's parking lot has been removed. Several vehicle-bookdrop encounters had made it difficult to remove materials that were returned. You may use the bookdrop located in the wall of the library to the left of the main entrance, or the inside bookdrop located at the end of the Circulation Desk.

Looking for a book group? Need some reading suggestions? Visit our book group page for meeting dates & times, titles, and links to purchase books on Amazon (a percentage benefits the library)!

Thank You
for Advocating for Public Libraries!

October 8, 2009 - After 100 days of a state budget impasse, a deal has finally been reached. We thank our patrons who worked hard to advocate for keeping level funding for public libraries. Although this did not happen, the cuts weren't as deep as they could have been. This summer, we were fearing public library state subsidy would be slashed in half. This couldn't have happened at a worse time for library patrons. When the economy is down, library use is up.

As of today, it looks like public library funding will be cut by 21%. State library services such as PowerLibrary, AccessPA, and Ask Here is PA are going to be cut by close to 60%. What this means for you, we don't quite know yet. But, we'll keep you informed, and do our best to service your needs.

How can you help? Please consider giving to your library. Donate your time, money, or help with fundraising. Your monetary contribution can be used to purchase a book, DVD, CD, or audiobook for our collection, or you can choose to support the general operating fund. Your donation is a commitment to support lifelong learning and will impact local lives now and in the future!

Thank you to
The Wellness Point, PLLC and Fisher Business Forms who provided local patrons with pre-printed,
pre-addressed postcards to state government officials
at all six Lebanon County Libraries.
You enabled more voices to be heard
and stressed how important libraries are
in the lives of Lebanon County residents
during this crucial budget crisis.
